Paperpile library

Sync a BibTeX file from Paperpile, then cite by key as you write. A references.bib next to a manuscript on GitHub is loaded with it.

Citation syntax

Use Pandoc-style citations such as [@Smith2024], [@Smith2024; @Lee2023] or [see @Smith2024, p. 4]. The preview formats them and builds a reference list from your BibTeX file.

Manuscript tools

Images and figures

Open or add image files to preview them inline. Keep image paths relative so the manuscript stays portable in GitHub. Images added here are previewed for this session only. Images in the paper's images folder on GitHub are downloaded and cached when you load it. ManuMD never commits images.

GitHub workflow

Load a manuscript from a repository, edit it here, then save a commit back to that file. The repository and file are remembered with the draft; the token is kept until you close the tab.
